Internal Communications

The role of internal communications and its influence is often misunderstood. At best, it is underrated. At worst, it is ignored at a strategic level in the hope that individual, tactical communications will achieve what is needed.

At FWD, we believe the fundamental objective of internal communications is to build very strong teams who can earn profitable revenue or support its generation.

Our approach is that good internal communications help businesses to:

  • Operate effectively – explain objectives, give direction and provide support
  • Build a community – promote understanding of the business, across the business and help to generate respect for and trust in each other
  • Instil a purpose – define common goals, encourage the taking of ownership, generate enthusiasm and show incentives

We have an in-depth understanding of audiences, challenges and the markets and regulatory environments in which our clients operate. Many of our team have worked ‘client-side’ before moving to agency-side with FWD. Others have strategic and tactical expertise specifically from communications environments. It is this blend of experience that fuels our expertise in internal communications.
