Elliot has over 20 years’ experience working in various UK business sectors, both as a journalist and PR Director. He has extensive experience working within the insurance profession and financial services sector, offering clients strategic advice for both internal and external communications programmes.

In his career, Elliot has worked with major corporate clients, and managed in-house communications teams, to produce UK and international media campaigns; copywriting of press and advertising content; and developing and co-ordinating major conferences. He has held senior PR roles where he has had numerous responsibilities for budget management and implementing projects at board level.

GUG KYRIACOU

Joint Managing Director

With over 20 years’ experience of financial services communications, Gug has extensive knowledge of the industry gained through working with a variety of sectors including banking, insurance, wealth management and the aggregator market. He has expertise in consumer finance and retail banking – devising and implementing media campaigns for clients and offering strategic advice for both proactive and reactive campaigns.

During his career, Gug has developed and executed campaigns for major corporate clients and has also built and managed in-house communications teams.

JULIAN GREEN

Head of Research

Julian Green has 25 years’ experience in providing insight-based consulting for some of the world’s biggest corporations across the financial and professional services, industrial manufacturing, energy, healthcare, and telco sectors, amongst others. He specialises in the provision of pioneering reputation guidance solutions which combine analytics of unstructured data with bespoke human storytelling. Julian is skilled in deploying AI and machine learning, paired with more traditional tactics to provide empirical historic evidence with real-time data and predictive analytics, to enable clients to make informed commercial decisions. He has also has experience in founding an insights consulting firm, in which he led organic and acquisition growth, listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) before it was acquired. Since then, Julian has worked in various MD roles including for Kantar and a global, boutique agency.

RODDY WATT

Director, Capital Markets

Roddy joined FWD in January 2016 to head up its Capital Markets team. With a 30 year City career spent within the financial and professional services sector, he has worked on strategic communications programmes as well as corporate transactions for clients such as Caledonia Investments, Chesnara, Citi, Hannover Re, Isle of Man Treasury, KPMG, Lloyd’s of London, National Australia Bank, Validus Re and Weil Gotshal. He has also advised the Stock Exchanges of Germany, Singapore, Taiwan and Warsaw, the Swiss Government, a number of hedge funds, wealth managers and other Banks and (Re)Insurers from multinationals to private companies and SMEs.

JOSHUA FROST

PR and Social Media Account Executive

After completing his MA in Strategic Communication from Loughborough University Joshua joined FWD to support on PR and content, as well as social media activities for clients. He also assists with social media and content creation for FWD’s own channels. Joshua has a keen interest in blockchain technology, artificial intelligence and politics and aims to harness these passions in his day-to-day role.

CAROLINE HALEY

Director

Caroline is a Director at FWD. She joined in 2005 and has 20 years of marketing and communications agency experience, a significant proportion of which has been focused in the financial services marketplace.

Caroline’s expertise spans all the major marketing disciplines with a particular focus on project management and client servicing. She has also created many of the processes and standards by which we continue to work today.

KIM SMITH

Investment Communications Director

Kim joined FWD in 2006 and now heads up a team of investment writers. In addition to her investment writing role, Kim is part of the team responsible for business development. Her hands-on experience as a fund manager means she brings an investment perspective to all work undertaken by FWD, from writing to strategic consultancy to creative communications.

SIMON JONES

Operations Manager

Simon has extensive experience of business operations management. He joined FWD in 2005 as a Public Relations executive and gained invaluable experience in Public Relations administration.

As FWD has grown, Simon has taken on greater responsibilities and is now the Operations Manager for the whole of the FWD Group. His responsibilities include the company’s I.T., administration and office procedures, but most of all just trying to ensure that the office runs smoothly.

MARIJA MARKS

Management Accountant

Marija joined FWD in 2011 to provide support for the Accounts Department, involving managing all the ledgers. During this time Marija built very good relationships with both clients and suppliers and as she developed her skills, she took on more responsibilities within the company. She is now the Management Accountant for the whole of FWD.

Her role entails producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts to provide relevant analysis for the management team. Marija also participates in the preparation of the budget for FWD as well as the implementation of a new accounting software system.
